A message from the Superintendent:

Colonel James C. Willett, CJM I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for viewing our website.  The Pamunkey Regional Jail is a state-of-the-art facility, where all inmates are treated in a humane and constitutional manner until released.  We are but one part of the Criminal Justice System, serving the needs of user agencies, law enforcement, courts, attorneys, and community organizations.

It is our vision to be an organization that has a strong value system that recognizes the inherent worth of all human beings, respects and recognizes the needs of the community, and holds the belief that, if they choose, offenders can change their lives.

With that in mind, the mission of the Pamunkey Regional Jail shall be to provide the highest level of safety and security for our community.  We shall strive to exceed national correctional standards while continuously providing exceptional services and resources for the community, law enforcement, and the judicial system. Through integrity, dedication, and teamwork, we shall provide an environment of professional development that promotes respect, cooperation, and ethical excellence.

VINE - Victim Information and Notification Everyday   - Victim Information and Notification Everyday

VINELinkThe Virginia State Victim Notification Service (VINE) is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or Internet to search for information regarding their offender's custody status and register to receive telephone and e-mail notification when the offender's custody status changes. This service is brought to you by Virginia Department of Corrections and the Virginia Sheriffs Association via a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance for SAVIN that is managed by Virginia Center for Policing Innovation. The VINE toll-free number for Virginia VINE is 1-800-467-4943.
